Sol's Long Bio

SOL'S STORY

Sol’s career path took him across a wide range of areas, including commercial and residential real estate, asset management, finance, operations and project management. He excels at building high performance teams, developing and operationalizing corporate strategies, financial management and consulting in all major commercial real property types. 

Mortgage Loan Office

His career began at a mortgage loan office, where he was responsible for originating residential and commercial real estate mortgages. He produced business plans, pro formas and loan packages, serving as a liaison between borrowers and underwriters.

 

Deloitte Advisory’s Real Estate Consulting Practice

In 2015, Sol made a move to an institutional firm as a real estate consultant at Deloitte in New York City. There, he specialized in commercial real estate valuation and advisory, performing real estate appraisal reviews, portfolio valuations (debt and equity), lease analyses, due diligence, and purchase price allocations. His clients included REITs, private equity firms, institutional investors and developers. 

 

Family Office of a High-net-worth Individual

In 2018, Sol became the Managing Director of a family office of a high-profile, high-net-worth individual in NYC. His responsibilities included overseeing a substantial real estate portfolio and other financial interests, deploying asset management functions across the portfolio and directing cross-functional operations to excecute on the principal's portfolio strategies.

 

Acting COO and Board Secretary of a Tech Startup

While he was at the family office, Sol also served as the Acting COO and Board Secretary at Frontier Signal—a SaaS startup that applies artificial intelligence to match candidates with their ideal job roles. 

 

Other Professional Pursuits and Interests

Throughout his career, he continuously sought investment opportunities, particularly in real estate. As an entrepreneur, Sol made several real estate investments in New York and California aimed at repositioning distressed properties. In 2009, he founded a restaurant which he grew over 4 years and eventually sold for a profit in 2014. His eclectic experience had shaped him into a well-rounded professional with a deep understanding of business practices, strategic planning and execution.
